The Person of the Gospel Part 12 - The Light of the Beginning

In the beginning of creation God created the heavens and the earth.  And God said let there be light.  This was before he created the sun, moon and stars.  What is the Light from the beginning?  Jesus said I am the Light of the world.  This is the answer.
When Jesus came into the world, He brought the Light of God's plan and purpose to man.  This was God living in man.  God was in Christ as we have looked at many times.  This purpose in Christ was for God to reconcile man to His plan and purpose from the beginning.  This Light who is Christ is the definition and defining of God's purpose.  Glory to God. 

The Person of the Gospel Part 11 - The Ministry of Reconcilation

Paul says in Corinthians we have been given the Ministry of Reconciliation.  What is that?  "That God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself." What is the true nature of the Ministry Reconciliation.  I believe Paul gives us the answer or a look into the answer in Romans 5.
Rom 5:10 "For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life;  11 and not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation."
At the cross, I believe Jesus brought mankind to himself.  "If I be lifted up from the world I will draw all men to myself"  However, that does not mean they automatically come to His Life.  He said now is the time when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and they that hear shall live.  He is not just talking about the dead bodies in graves but the ALL the dead that are in Adam.  Those that hear are those who hear and believe.  Those who actively receive Him and COME TO HIS LIFE!
It is His Life that saves us, delivers us, makes us whole.  His Life is what brings us into a brand new creation where sin and darkness does not rule us, but Christ Jesus the Lord is our Life.  He is to me salvation.  How much of the well of salvation I drink from is measured by how much of CHRIST I know by the Spirit of God.  
Now this knowing is for every heart that will turn TO HIM!  He will guide you into all TRUTH!  Glory to God!
 
 

The Person of the Gospel Part 10 - Reconciliation of the World

Jesus declared in John’s Gospel that “the Father in me doeth the works.”  As a young Christian, my concept of the Father and Son was that God the Father was up in Heaven and Jesus the Son was on the earth, when Jesus walked the earth.  However, looking at the scripture, Jesus declared the Father was in Him and that He was in the Father.  This is plain in Christ’s declarations throughout the Book of John.  Especially John 14. 
 
In 2 Corinthians 5, Paul writes that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.  Consider this in the light of the Lord’s nature.  In Adam we lived as Adam or the world.  In Christ we are to live in that which is Christ.  Not only has He brought us through the cross to Himself, but in the knowing of the Person of Jesus Christ we are coming or being transformed into the nature and character that He is, Christ actively forming Himself in our hearts and minds!

The Person of the Gospel Part 9 - God into Man

The Victory of the Cross is what we have to come to.  He won the victory of the cross?  The Lord Jesus did!  God did.  God came into man and defeated every foe in the Person of Jesus Christ.  Now we live in what He has done.  Or He lives in us, and in His living we comprehend or realize Him and what He has done!  Glory to God!

The Person of the Gospel Part 8 - I AM COME - All Things in Christ

All Things in Christ, What a thought, consideration!  This should abide in every Christian heart.  WE should be setting our hearts and minds to KNOWING All Things in Christ.  This is what I want to say is my heart.  "That I may know Him."  That I may know Him in all things!  Glory to God!

The Person of the Gospel Part 7 - Destroyed the Works of Satan

In Hebrews 2:14, the writer tells the believer that Satan has been destroyed, disrobed, made void of power.  However, many believers and teachers still give Satan place, although Jesus has conquered him mightily in His resurrection from among the dead.  The word destroy means to be entirely useless.  The word power hear means vigor, strength, might. 
So if we look at Hebrews 2:14 we can understand through the Person of Christ that Satan's dominion of death has been destroyed.  He no longer has the power of death over us who are Christ's.  Why is that?  CHRIST IS OUR LIFE!  Glory to God!
Heb 2:14  "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.                 17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted." 

The Person of the Gospel Part 6 - I AM Come II

I AM COME.  This statement, I AM Come that you might have life.  This is the answer to all things pertaining to life.  When we think on eternal life, we must understand that Eternal Life is Christ Himself.  If we understand this we will begin to see and this life that is in us.  He is the glorious life we have.  As we know Him we know this life.  Glory to God!

The Person of the Gospel Part 5 - I AM Come

The voice crying in the wilderness.  All the prophets until John prophesied of one to come.  Jesus Comes and declares I AM Come that you might have life.  I AM The Bread of Life.  All of these declarations of the Old Covenant from the manna in the wilderness to the Temple of God come to the statement of Christ I AM COME to find their fulfillment.
Let hearts and minds look to Him for the fulfillment of all things.  Glory to God!
