The Feasts of the Lord - Pentecost IV - The Covenant

The word Pentecost means fifty.  Fifty days after Passover the children of Israel were again gathered unto the Lord at Mt. Sinai.  Here they received the law.  Here they received the Covenant.  At Mount Sinai, Paul wrote in Galatians the Covenant gendered to bondage.  In Mount Zion, the Covenant was unto the freedom of the Spirit. 
 
We who are in Christ are free from sin and death, and its penalties  In this Covenant of Life we stand in Christ is the Word we have received and we live in, In the New Covenant.  Glory to God.

The Feasts of the Lord - Pentecost III, I will come unto you

Joel 2:23  Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in Jehovah your God; for he giveth you the former rain in just measure, and he causeth to come down for you the rain, the former rain and the latter rain, in the first month.  24  And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. 25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the canker-worm, and the caterpillar, and the palmer-worm, my great army which I sent among you. 26 And ye shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and shall praise the name of Jehovah your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you; and my people shall never be put to shame. 27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am Jehovah your God, and there is none else; and my people shall never be put to shame. 
 
Read this closely. What were they to know in the former and latter rain, "I AM in your midst." As an Israelite, when this was written, they were thinking of days gone by when God dwelt in the Temple in their midst. Here they in type and shadow were not ashamed, were not in the captivity of the world. They were a great people to show forth the praise of their great God.
 
Where this finds its fulfillment is in the Lord Jesus Christ. "At that day you shall know, I AM in my Father, you are in me, and I AM in you." Here we are not ashamed. Here his greatness and victory is seen and declared. Here the I AM is made known in a people. Glory to God. He has come to us as the rain and the latter rain. He has filled His temple with Himself. "You are the Temple of the Living God. I will dwell in them and walk in them. I will be their God and they shall be my people."

Pentecost II

God said in the Book of Acts, through the Apostle Peter, "In the last days I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh."  What were the last days that were spoken of here?  Was it dealing with the last days of planet earth?  of the last days of humanity? or is there another idea in the heart of God?  
 
Are the last days, referring to the last days of the Old Covenant?  Was the pouring out of the Spirit unto us, the operation that gives us the ability to transition out of one Covenant into another?  I believe the answer would be yes.  The Spirit takes of Christ and shows or reveals to our hearts.  Christ himself is the transition from the Old to the New. 
 
He takes away and He brings forth.  He makes all things New.  To me and you that is done by the Spirit of God through Christ being in you, and the Spirit of God showing Him to you!  Glory to God in the Highest!  Peace on earth toward men.  Christ has come and dwells in His many membered Body that is the Church.  Again I say, Glory to God!

The Feasts of the Lord VII - Pentecost

In the Book of Acts Chapter 2 is written the record of the coming of the Holy Spirit.  Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 
 
I would like us to pay particular attention to verse 1.  "When the day of Pentecost had fully come."  There had been many days of Pentecost in the history  of the Israelites and Jewish people, but it had never fully come until the Spirit was poured out  from on high.  Pentecost could never come in completion until Passover had come in its completion.  All of this is  in connection to the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus came, died, was buried, arose from the dead, and ascended back unto the Father. 
 
"He shed forth this," Peter declared in the Book of Acts.  The Holy Spirit came at the ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ to fill the believers with the reality of Christ.  "He that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit."  On the day of Pentecost the Church of Jesus Christ was born and joined to Him, to know Him in HIs fullness.  Glory to God!

The Feasts of the Lord VI - Passover, A 3 Day Feast

In this lesson Passover is broken down.  Looking close at Leviticus 23:1-9 you can see that there are 3 Feasts contained in Passover.  These speak of His death, His burial and His resurrection.  These Feasts are Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits. Jesus Himself went into death, He was buried, and He was raised from the dead.  This was done by Him and Him alone.  We are partakers of His work.  Without Him there is no fulfillment of the Feast.
 
This is very important.  Christ and His Work stands alone.  What I am saying His work stands with or without us.   We are brought into His Work.  When we believe into Christ we come into Him and His Work.  God places us in Christ.  This is the foundation of Christianity.  “By One Spirit we are all Baptized into One Body.”  Paul writes that we are baptized into His death in Romans 6 by the Spirit of God.   I believe this is the start of our journey.  We believe in Him, and in receiving Him the Old Man is dead, and our journey is coming into the New Man who is Christ.

Leviticus 23:1 “The LORD spoke again to Moses, saying, 2 "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'The LORD'S appointed times which you shall proclaim as holy convocations—My appointed times are these: 3 'For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work; it is a sabbath to the LORD in all your dwellings. 4 'These are the appointed times of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at the times appointed for them. 5 'In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight is the LORD'S Passover. 6 'Then on the fifteenth day of the same month there is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the LORD; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. 7 'On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work. 8 'But for seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD. On the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work.'" 9 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 10 "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When you enter the land which I am going to give to you and reap its harvest, then you shall bring in the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 'He shall wave the sheaf before the LORD for you to be accepted; on the day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.” 

The Feasts of the Lord V - The Lord‘s Passover

In the Book of Exodus, it is declared that the Passover is the Lord's sacrifice when He passed over the Israelites in the land of Goshen.  Before any Israelite was a partaker of the work of the Lord there was a slain lamb with the blood on the door lintel.  The Israelites had to enter into the Blood of that Lamb and eat its flesh in order to come out of that house in the brightness of the new day.  
 
Exo 12:25  And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service. 26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? 27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. 
 
Before you or I could ever enter into Christ, He had to finish the work.  He had to come as man and proceed into death, burial and resurrection.  This was the Lord's work before we ever were partakers of it.  Now we come into the Lord through His shed blood, and eat the Lamb until we see the Light of the new day. Then we come into the Light of Christ, which is the Light of the New Day that dawns in our hearts.  
 
What I am concerned with at this time, is many of the Lord's Body do not close the door and eat the Lamb.  They try to walk out in Christ by the religion they are taught.  We must first eat the Lamb, which will bring us into the Light of New Day.  Only by eating Him, can we come here.  Let us go in and close the door with Jesus and eat until the Light Appears.  Until we see Jesus.  Glory to God!

The Feasts of the Lord IV - The Lord‘s Passover, The Striking of the Land

In the Lord's death, He struck the death blow to the old man.  The Israelites came out of Egypt through the striking of the Lord.  We come out of Adam, religion, and every bondage through the striking of the Lord.  I am so thankful to God's death blow.  "For we are dead and our life is hid with Christ in God."  Christ is our life and is appearing in us to God's Glory!.  Amen.

The Feasts III - The Time and Place of the Gathering

The Israelites did not just have Three Feasts.  They had a specific time, order and place of the Feasts.  Everything in Israel centered around the Lord and the Tabernacle or Temple.  The fulfillment is the same as the shadow.  The time, place and order centers around the Lord and His House.
"You are the Temple of God, as God has said," II Corinthians 6:16. II Corithians 13:5 "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"
The fulfillment of all Three Feasts are in Christ.  He is the fulfillment of all things.  We must look unto Jesus to find the completion to the Word of God.  Nothing else will complete it but Him.  Glory Be to God in the Highest!
