The Covenant of God In Christ Part 12 - The New Man

The New Man is the center around the New Creation.  In the Old Creation that God Made Man was the Center of it.  In the New it is the same.  However, this is a NEW MAN.  This man comes out of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.  The work that forms this man is Christ Himself.  The fullness of this man is Christ Himself.  Jesus Christ has brough forth of Himself One New Man!  Glory Be to God!
Ephesians 2:13  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 

The Covenant of God in Christ Part 11 - Take Eat, This is My Body

To me, profound words in the Bible includes Jesus speaking to His disciples as they ate the Passover bread.  "Take and eat this is my Body."  This Feast represents the offering of the Body and Blood of Christ and our admission into the Kingdom of God.  We as participants of The True Passover, are told to Take and Eat of His Body that was given for us.  In John's Gospel, Jesus said unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you do not receive eternal life.  Eating of Him is the essential diet of the Church.  
We have been told much of our lives that we are what we eat.  This is so true.  Unless we eat His flesh and drink His blood, we do not belong to Him, and by eating of Him we are His Body.  Christ is the essential diet for the believer!  Glory to God.

The Covenant of God in Christ Part 10 - To Serve The Living God

Heb 9:11 But Christ having come a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, 12 nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling them that have been defiled, sanctify unto the cleanness of the flesh: 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish unto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 
With our conscience made pure we serve God.  Through the law we lacked confidence because over and over we were found guilty.  Through the Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, we are made pure so we can confidently serve the things of God.

The Covenant of God in Christ Part 9 - The Purifying of the Consience

Hebrews 9:11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 

The Covenant of God in Christ Part 8 - The Commandment Unto Life

What is the purpose in Jesus Christ.  He said I have come to have life and have it abundantly.  The New Covenant is the Covenant unto Life. 
John 2:49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak." In John 12, Jesus said

The Covenant of God in Christ Part 6 - The WORD from Jerusalem II

Isaiah prophesied that a word and law were coming forth from Jerusalem and Zion!  Jesus fulfilled the prophecy bringing forth His Word and the New Covenant in Himself!
Isa 2:1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD's house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. 3 Many people shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore. 5 O house of Jacob, come and let us walk In the light of the LORD. 

The Covenant of God in Christ Part 6 - The WORD from Jerusalem

What is the WORD from Jerusalem that would come in the latter days?  Out of Zion would go forth the Law, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.  I would suggest it is the Law of Life in Christ Jesus, and the Word of Christ that came into Jerusalem when Jesus came.  Glory to God.
